e-Learning at the Library

Beginner classes in computers are currently offered to members in Dungarvan and Tramore libraries (and in Lismore from October, 2010) , while e-Learning options are available to independent learners who can complete courses at elearninghome and/or in the library. Those interested can register to take:

• Introductory computer classes for persons with no prior knowledge of computers. This course assists in the setting up an e-mail account, navigating the internet and acquiring the basics of computing with a Fás trainer. On completion, more advanced courses like the ones listed below can be taken.

• e-Learning courses for persons who already have basic computing skills. Learners have access to a facilitator while working on their own initiative. Course options include Microsoft Office and ECDL as well as FETAC accredited modules in:
- Facilitator Support
- Business Maths
- Practical Budgeting Skills for Business
- Accounting
- Fire Prevention and Safety
- Back Safety, First Aid Basic, First Aid CPR, Office Safety
- Success for Stress
- Book-Keeping - Effective Administrative Support Professional
- Project Management

Dungarvan Library

• Tuesday 24th August, 3pm-5pm
• Thursday, 26th August, 6pm-8pm

Tramore Library

• Tuesday, 24th August, 11am-1pm
• Thursday, 26th August, 2pm-4pm
